Alpine spruce soundboards
This Alpine Spruce is over 250 years old. Grown in a high
altitude above 900 meters (approx. 2950 ft.). A dream of many
great instrument makers. The growth cycles were very slow. You
can see this feature by looking for the grain. I `m happy to
offer you hand splitted German Alpine Spruce tops. Its
highest quality possible.
What is hand splitted, what makes it so special?
Hand splitted means to quarter the wood. Letting it split along
the natural grain by its grown straightness. It's the procedure
of achieving a high quality sound board. The wood has its
natural strength and stiffness. Which produces the sound of your
instrument.
